Santa visits the John Betjeman Centre
Concern Wadebridge at The John Betjeman Centre hosted is annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 2nd November – with a very special guest!
For the first time ever, Santa came along and had his own grotto – and brought along his elves to help!
The event saw hundreds of visitors enjoy nearly 30 craft stalls from local entrepreneurs and the centre's popular jigsaw stall – selling 200 on the day!
Platform 1 café was also open serving up lots of delicious treats, including Shirley’s famous homemade mince pies!
Manager Emma Burt said: “Every time we host an event, I am always overwhelmed by the support we receive. I love this centre and being able to share it with everyone makes me extremely proud. A huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers who help transform the centre into a winter wonderland – especially the beautiful grotto. Special thank you to all the stallholders. The whole day helped to raise over £1,000. This money will go towards our kitchen renovation fund. In January our kitchen is being completely transformed to make it more functional now we are so busy and will be all stainless steel – we are very excited!”
