North Cornwall Arts and Craft Show showcases young talent
Scouts and Guides from across the area recently took part in the 45th North Cornwall Arts and Craft Show, with some incredible creations put on display!

This year's theme was 'Bugs and Creepy Crawlies', and with more than 400 entries, it proved difficult to choose the deserving winners amongst a sea of talent.

Entries included photographs of bug favourites, sewn camp blanket badges, beautiful handwriting of 'The Fuzzy Caterpillar' and, of course, butterfly buns. The group junk model always provides an amazing display of ingenuity and skill, and this year was no exception with various interpretations of 'Creepy Crawly Micro Habitat'.
The individual points shields went to members of 1st Jacobstow Rainbows, 1st Wadebridge Guides, St Mabyn Beavers, St Minver Cubs and 2nd Wadebridge Brownies, with groups receiving impressive cups to look after this year.
The group model winners were Padstow Rainbows, St Breward Brownies, 1st Wadebridge Guides and St Mabyn Beavers. Each unit has a new shield for display in their meeting halls.

A spokesperson from North Cornwall Arts and Craft Show said: "As ever, we are grateful and appreciative of the leaders who support this show and work tirelessly throughout the year running the many units in North Cornwall; also to the local Windfarm bursary that donated £500 towards the show's running costs."
Well done to all involved!
