Students bring the world of Roald Dahl to life
The magic of Roald Dahl was brought to life in Launceston as St Joseph’s students brought to life the characters from one of Roald Dahl’s most beloved stories.

The students delivered a fantastic set of performances in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Town Hall, showcasing their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm for theatre. Each cast member brought energy and commitment to their roles, making the production a memorable experience for the audience.

All the students should be incredibly proud of their work. Their dedication and passion were clear, and their performances brought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to life in a way that was engaging, entertaining, and thoroughly enjoyable for all.
Headteacher Mr Oliver Scott said: “I could not be prouder of the children and of everyone involved in what was a superb production that really showcased just what a special school we have. That a small school like ours could put on such a show and provide the chance for so many children to shine as cast and crew is a very special thing indeed. We are lucky to have such a superb Head of Drama as Mr Summers who provides wonderful opportunities for all. Well done everyone.”
Launceston Life's very own Claire Pearce also went along to watch the show unfold. She said: "I took my daughter along to the performance, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The performance from all the students was outstanding and I really felt like I was there in the world of Charlie. The characters were well and truly brought to life. You can see how much hard work was put into each and every character on stage. The slightly different take with some of the characters was also really well done."
